ABOUT ALLISON CROSS

Allison Cross is an Emmy award-winning storyteller based in Calgary, Alberta, with two decades of experience in content marketing, copywriting, and journalism. As a senior writer and content lead, she helps people, companies, organizations, and nonprofits plan and craft content that informs and engages audiences, sparks conversations, and ultimately drives conversions. This content creates meaningful, lasting connections with clients, customers, donors and stakeholders. Allison draws on her experience as a journalist to distill complex issues and insights into annual editorial plans and content strategies, key messages, customer stories, social posts, website copy, tag lines and presentations. She thrives in collaborative environments that embrace her critical thinking skills, meticulous attention to detail, sharp sense of humour, positive attitude, and creativity. Previously, Allison worked as a digital reporter and editor for the National Post newspaper based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She also worked as a reporter for the Toronto Star, the largest newspaper in Canada, as a breaking news and national affairs reporter for Postmedia News (formerly Canwest News Service) in Ottawa, and as a community reporter and photographer for the Nanaimo Daily News. Her work has also appeared in the Globe and Mail, the Vancouver Sun, and The Tyee. Allison has a master\'s degree in journalism from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in English literature from Queen\'s University in Kingston, Ontario.
