Operational and facility support to oversee a sqft biotech startup incubator with roughly 35 resident companies and over 130 residents-Laboratory lead to plan and move the whole facility and resident companies from Manhattan to Queens (Oct 2025)-Customer service to support residents for their R&D goals-Ensures residents comply with the environmental health and safety and regulatory requirements-Conducts routine checks of safety equipment and lab inspections-Manages chemicals inventories, monitors hazardous waste storage, and signs off on hazardous waste shipping manifests as the chemical safety officer-Ensures all shared equipment is in working order and maintained per vendor recommendations, troubleshoots any equipment issues- Coordinating with outside vendors for service contracts, maintenance, and resolving issues- Works with our sponsors on procuring sponsored equipment, assisting in sponsor events, lunch and learns, and training- Oversees laboratory purchases for all residents to ensure compliance with space, policies, and safety- Coordinates with the building, residents, and vendors for service and large deliveries- Updates and maintains the lab safety and emergency plans and material safety data sheet information. Is the floor fire warden- Ensures all lab users are trained on the correct use of shared equipment and EHS procedures - Develops training modules for processes, safety, and equipment within the lab- Leads on boarding new companies and residents to the lab space and ensuring all exit procedures are completed- Maintains the stock of general and equipment specific supplies- Member of the Waste Selection Committee, the EHS Committee, and the Operations Manual Committee through the Biolabs HQ network to improve working conditions and standardize processes across Biolabs sites- Certified for C14 Fitness with the NYC Fire Dept, Hazardous Waste Management, and DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations
