ABOUT ALLISON HEATH
I am interested in helping programs make a sustainable impact through strategies that are effective, culturally appropriate, involve key stakeholders and integrate with existing structures. I am interested in improving service delivery by increasing efficiency, sourcing funds and controlling costs. My unique educational background is a combination of health sciences, healthcare and business management. This has given me not only an appreciation of health at the individual level and an understanding of public health, the social determinants, systems and structures involved, but also the basic management principles that are crucial to any organization or program’s success. My research areas have included healthcare access and HIV/AIDS in Thailand, and nutrition and environmental contamination in Peru. I am also a competitive sailor, avid dancer and skier, travel-bug victim, festival-goer, wannabe triathlete, and budding foodie (but not the pretentious kind, of course).
