ABOUT ALLISON YOUNG

Hello! I am Allison Young, a junior majoring in Accounting at the University of Texas at Austin. I am pursuing the integrated Master in Professional Accounting (iMPA) program and plan to earn my CPA license. Through my involvement in the Women in Business Association, Asian Business Students Association, and Hooked on Skincare, I developed crucial communication skills, how to manage a budget, and event planning. While at Caterpillar Inc, I learned about the importance of risk and compliance which provides a legal perspective around accounting/finance. I work with SOX controls, tariffs, and ESG initiatives. I am interested in both industry and public accounting and am pursuing a degree in Accounting because I enjoy analyzing and working with numbers and providing strategies that businesses can partake in to improve their company.
