About Allison Thurman

My name is Allison Thurman, and I am currently a medical assistant at US Dermatology Partners. My previous work experience includes medical scribing with ScribeAmerica where I specialized in pediatrics, breast medical oncology, breast surgical oncology, dermatology, urology, gynecology, and hematology. I am a 2023 Texas A&M graduate with a degree in BS Psychology. I have aspirations to attend physician assistant school and have a passion for serving others through medicine. Outside of being a medical assistant and medical scribe, I have 2 years of medical experience working at Camp Longhorn in the infirmary administering medications and treating basic injuries. In college I had the opportunity to learn leadership skills through being on my sorority’s Executive Board for two years, and was nominated Panhellenic Woman of the Year by our university’s board in 2022. While at A&M, I was a host for one of our most honored traditions, the campus Muster Ceremony, where I was assigned to guide a family who had lost a loved one in the past year through the ceremony where we honor their departed.
