Strategic Leadership • Working closely with the Board of Directors, manages periodic strategic planning processes to advance Alliance’s purpose. Operations• Ensures that financial and other assets are protected and adequately maintained without unnecessary risk.• Supervises all financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and reporting functions.• Serves as point person for annual independent audit.• Negotiates, reviews, executes, and administers all contracts.• Utilizes outside legal counsel.• Manages and directs all association management company staff, temporary and contract employees, and consultants. Advocacy & Public Affairs• Coordinates all advocacy programs at state and federal level with volunteer leaders and retained firms.• Develops and projects a positive image of Alliance members and the value and meaning of Alliance’s brand.• Represents and speaks at conferences and other events.• Promotes and enriches relationships with membership, business partners, professional associations/organizations, and other stakeholders.• Manages website and social media maintenance.Member Benefits• Develops and executes all meeting content; currently pivoting to e-learning environment.• Creates critical membership alerts which are sent to targeted audiences; develops content regarding relevant COVID information with team of subject matter experts.• Manages insurance program, compliance program, industry surveys, and other fraternal-specific information distribution.Board and Committee Support• Plans and facilitates Board meetings. Ensures that agenda items are consistent with the Board’s purpose and are scheduled for consideration in a timely manner.• Provides guidance to Board members and members of Advocacy & Policy Committee, Finance Committee, Governance Committee and others to assist in executing their responsibilities.
