ABOUT ALLISON CRIMMINS
With nearly 15 years of experience in climate science and policy, I am a proven leader in developing and delivering climate change risk assessments that inform decision-making at the highest levels of government. As the Director of the National Climate Assessment at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, I set the vision and goals for the 5th National Climate Assessment, a comprehensive report that evaluates the impacts and risks of climate change on the United States. I lead and manage a diverse team of nearly 850 climate experts from across the country, coordinating with 14 federal agencies, the Executive Office of the President, and various stakeholders to produce and deliver an improved and impactful product on time. My mission is to leverage and synthesize collective expertise to build lasting climate solutions that lead to a safer, healthier, more just future.
