   I am currently a Senior UX Designer at the VA, helping design products for both VA.gov and the mobile app. I help evaluate past user research and make design decisions based on those insights. I consider not only the design of products, but what happens before and after users interact with these products. I ensure all products for the VA across multiple platforms have a holistic look and feel. In addition to my design review responsibilities, I advocate best practices and identify new patterns to be added to the design system as well as writing guidance around component usage. Mentoring VA designers is a key part of my role, where I emphasize user experience through wireframes and user flows. Establishing VA.gov design standards is crucial, and I ensure adherence to guidelines. I play a vital role in maintaining the design system and foster collaboration among diverse teams including product managers, engineers, accessibility experts, content writers, and information architects. I also help with proposals and rapid prototyping validating designs for business development at Oddball.
