About Allison Chase
I specialize in consultation-based caregiver support in eating disorder care. I equip parents and caregivers with practical skills and steadiness to reduce accommodation, hold effective boundaries, and support recovery at home.I collaborate with treatment providers and help families navigate evaluation questions, levels of care, and step-down transitions (outpatient ↔ IOP/PHP ↔ residential and back home). My approach is ED-informed, family-centered, and grounded in caregiver self-efficacy: when caregivers feel more capable, they can respond more consistently and recovery gains traction. My work is informed by over 25 years in eating disorder care across outpatient and higher levels of care, including clinical leadership and program development. In addition to caregiver work, I provide consultation to clinicians, treatment teams, and programs seeking stronger family involvement and more durable change. I support programs in strengthening family-based programming and implementing practical, innovative caregiver strategies that improve the care experience. In particular, I help programs build caregiver-facing strategies that reduce friction and strengthen the treatment experience, which are the key drivers of engagement and retention across levels of care.Confidence creates change.

In collaboration with the Recovery Record product team, I focus on advancing the Recovery Record Family App, an innovative therapeutic tool designed to enhance best practices in eating disorder treatment. This platform empowers clinical teams by providing evidence-based resources that improve care for families and caregivers supporting individuals in treatment. My role includes driving adoption of the app by educating and equipping clinicians with the tools they need, expanding its implementation across existing partnerships, and forging new collaborations with eating disorder providers globally to elevate family-based treatment standards.
