ABOUT ALLISON BAY

I’m a public health professional with more than 14 years of experience in public health and research, promoting health equity for vulnerable and resource-limited individuals both in the USA and abroad. As someone who grew up on a farm in rural Appalachia, I am committed to improving the circumstances and opportunities available to people from economically disadvantaged communities. I have overseen clinical trials, quality improvement studies, and community-based participatory action research and projects at Emory University, in the United States Peace Corps, and at a residential treatment facility for youth and have been recognized with several awards during my career. Colleagues know me as a creative leader who can be trusted to provide direction, support, and resources to overcome challenges related to project implementation and group dynamics. I believe that high-quality results are a product of open communication, integrity, being motivated to achieve team and individual goals and receiving consistent and supportive feedback and training. I strive to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion of all team members who come from multiple backgrounds and levels of experience and to maintain a positive working environment. I can (and often do) work well alone, but I’m at my best collaborating with others. My strengths include project management, upholding policies, partnership development, coaching, strategy preparation, and organizational development. I have a BS in Neuroscience and Psychology from Baldwin-Wallace University, an MPH from Emory University, and recently completed an executive Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree for full-time working professionals at Georgia State University. I can be reached through this profile and look forward to connecting with you soon!
