About Allie Davis

I am currently collaborating closely with hospital clients as the Associate Director of Strategic Engagement for Patient Funding Alternatives, an organization determined to improve health insurance funding options for individuals on Medicaid. I earned my B.S. in Health Sciences in May of 2022 and a Master\'s in Public Health in May of 2023. Combined with my deep-seated passion for equitable and quality healthcare, I take pride in my detail-oriented approach to producing innovative deliverables in both my academic and professional work environments.I had the opportunity at Boston University to not only take a course focused on the organization and delivery of healthcare in the United States, but I also work closely with the senior lecturer who designed the course. In Fall of 2021, I joined the teaching assistant team for the course and had time to focus on the main strengths and weaknesses of the US healthcare system. This class opened my eyes to the lack of accessible quality healthcare for individuals and I am committed to using my skills to make a difference in the healthcare industry. My computer skills in Microsoft are proficient. I also have experience working with CERNER EMR and coding softwares, such as R. During an internship in the summer of 2021 at New England Baptist Hospital, I leveraged key data analytics in collaboration with the Hospital Operations department, reporting directly to the Executive Director of Quality & Patient Safety, in contribution to a hospital-wide remodel of the continuum of care that would most benefit the patient experience. This experience was extremely rewarding as I was able to ensure patient safety was of the utmost importance through revamping the hospital’s approach to providing quality care. I was able to experience first-hand the importance of instilling an effective process all while placing emphasis on supporting clinical staff to ensure infection control, healthy patient family relations, and risk management.Also in my academic career, I was able to earn my Green Belt Certificate in Lean Managment by successfully analyzing and developing a evidence-based solution to inefficiencies in the Urology Department at Mass General Hospital. This unique experience inspired me to continue participating in projects that improve efficiencies and decrease waste in the healthcare environment.I look forward to taking my educational experiences and making a difference in the healthcare sector.
