As a Climate Grant Analyst, I am leading a cross-disciplinary team to design and manage the Landfill Emissions Reduction Grant program, an innovative new grant program at Oregon DEQ to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from Oregon landfills.
ABOUT ALLIE BUCCINI
Allie joined the team at Kemmons Wilson Family Foundation (KWFF) in 2018 as the Program Officer, taking on the role of Director of Programs in 2020. Here, she designs and manages the foundation\'s 3 programs: Wilson Scholars, a last-dollar scholarship program at Memphis-based universities, Wilson Society, a civic leadership program at Memphis-based high schools, and NexGen, a program to engage the talent of the next generation of the Wilson family in effective philanthropic leadership. She also co-develops/co-manages the grantmaking of the foundation and cultivates trust-based partnerships within the local nonprofit community. In May 2023, Allie obtained a Master of Public Administration through the University of Memphis School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy with an emphasis on Social Justice and Social Change, as well as a certificate in Philanthropic Leadership. Allie complemented her coursework by supporting the policy-focused initiatives at local agencies. As a BLDG Memphis policy research fellow in Spring 2021, she worked alongside a coalition of community advocates to advance the policy priorities of Memphis neighborhoods: Affordable Housing, Community and Economic Development, Neighborhoods and Local Government, Blight rRemediation, and Transportation and Mobility. From 20••••23, she supported the policy research and campaign design of two cross-disciplinary teams at the quasi-governmental nonprofit, Innovate Memphis: Transit Equity and Circular Economy Solutions to illegal dumpng.
