I am responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the Regional One Health Center for Innovation, including its infrastructure, strategic direction, and delivery of innovative products, programs and services that support the mission/vision/goals of Regional One Health. During my tenure, I have built a repeatable innovation engine: establishing a startup incubation framework that has generated $800K+ in equity impact; advancing new ventures to market through co‑development joint ventures; creating a rigorous customer‑discovery and value‑design framework for internal innovators; and stewarding a diverse portfolio of 45+ opportunities spanning medical devices and digital technologies.

ABOUT ALEJANDRA FOSTER
I have the pleasure of leading the Center for Innovation at Regional One Health in Memphis, Tennessee. I moved to Memphis from Kansas City to join the Center for Innovation in 2018. In my role, I lead the center’s efforts to become the launch pad and testing lab for disruptive health care innovation, guiding internal and external innovators to reach their highest potential. I have a distinctive and diverse background that spans clinical and non-clinical environments and both start-up and scale-up companies. At the Center for Innovation, I use this experience along with proven innovation methodologies to find and transform ideas into disruptive solutions, while at the same time assuring a multidisciplinary commitment to quality, people, service, finance and growth. This work has generated a series of accomplishments, including establishing a framework to successfully incubate startups that has added of equity impact, developing a framework to push new ventures to market including a co-development partnership with DOMO to create a Healthcare Quick Starter App, building a robust team to support innovation efforts, and managing a diverse portfolio of over two dozen projects ranging from medical device to technology. I also contribute my expertise through board and venture leadership. I serve as a board member of Regional One Health Solutions, LLC, a spinout from Regional One Health that provides consulting services to help organizations implement digital technology projects and build a data‑driven culture. I serve on Life Science Tennessee’s Board of Directors for the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 terms. Beyond health care, I am the Co‑operator and Co‑founder of Homebase Corporate Housing (since 2022), expanding access to high‑quality, flexible housing options for extended stay travelers in Memphis.
