About Allie Cozzone
Me in a Nutshell: For 6 years I trained and coached 300+ young idealists tutoring in Cleveland schools. While their primary impact was on student learning, their eagerness to offer feedback (usually unsolicited & uncensored, in true Gen Z style!) made me a better practitioner, facilitator, leader & human. Here are a few of the lessons I learned: • I thrive when given space to be creative while leading people & projects. I adapt quickly - especially in times of complexity & ambiguity (such as a global pandemic!). As a result, I motivate teams to stretch the boundaries of potential & performance. • Leaders must always be able to answer the question, “Tell me something you’ve learned recently.” I believe growth is infinite, & we each have the responsibility to examine & challenge our own assumptions/biases through ongoing formal & informal learning. • Fostering an inclusive culture is much different than touting a diverse team. I must constantly be aware of my own identity & privilege while actively dismantling the systems of oppression hindering forward progress for individuals & organizations. • Motivating others to exceed expectations is the byproduct of authenticity, not authority. I believe in giving & receiving real-time feedback, cultivating relationships built on trust, & celebrating uniqueness. 🤹 Skills: • 12 yrs of program development & project management serving populations experiencing high rates of poverty (ages 5 to 25 with groups of 10 to • Training & curriculum design to meet unique needs of adult learners, totaling 1200+ hours of instructional content & leadership development for 300+ volunteers • 8 yrs of program monitoring and evaluation, including: 1) tracking short and long-term goals to inspire continuous improvement; 2) analyzing large sets of quantitative data & surveys; and 3) creating reports and messaging for prospective & current donors • Strong ability to build collaborative relationships & transformational community partnerships • Dynamic blend of reliable instincts, a decade of experience, & decisive problem-solving skills • Thoughtful mentor who eagerly celebrates the strengths of others• Passionate about making people laugh & filling silence with music Seeking and Offering: I’m always excited to network with new people and hear new perspectives – send me a message!
