After 15 years in construction hire and sales it was time for a change. A big change it was as whilst there is some cross over in customers, designing and manufacturing the product to sell was completely new. Supplying roof trusses and associated products to national, regional and local house builders along with builders merchants and self build projects. This could be a small extension to multi house type site work or large one off projects. Responsible for the day to day leadership and management to the team of designers, admin and production staff. Again, am proud that during my time we have promoted internally, production chargehand to production manager, production op to trainee designer and production op to chargehand. Ensuring the flow of information, design and production meets the needs of our customers which then delivers the product to site as required. Health, safety and well being of the site personnel, compliance to all requirements set by legislation. Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement of the site and processes to improve our service to the customer base. It has been a steep learning curve and continues to be however the support and investment in my development has been outstanding.
