About Allen Selner

Allen Selner, DPM is a surgeon, engineer, and inventor / entrepreneur with extensive experience in biomechanics. He received his BS in Engineering from UC Berkeley and his DPM from California College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Allen Selner is passionate about merging technology and medicine to create innovative solutions that enhance clinical outcomes and biomechanical performance.Currently, he is tackling the development of the SELNERTX platform, an advanced in-shoe data tracking and alignment device. The project currently has 30 issued patents. The SELNERTX measures three dimensions of pronation and supination during various motion events such as gait cycles, golf swings, and ski movements. The device utilizes IMU and sensor fusion technology (Bosch bn0086), capturing detailed motion data similar to how drones measure pitch, roll, and yaw.This device can not only measure, but can realign the kinetic chain with its adjustable 19 settings. This will enable diverse data comparisons, improving both treatment and prevention of injuries through AI-based classification models. This approach not only enhances athletic performance but also introduces cutting-edge signal processing capabilities to human motion, providing new mathematical metrics previously unavailable in clinical settings.His vision is to create a subscription model database offering precise, individualized data tailored to optimize each user’s capabilities. By integrating engineering and medical expertise, Dr. Allen Selner aims to bring significant value to the industry and improve the understanding and enhancement of human motion. This easy to use platform will be widely available in clinical and training settings.

   Understanding how your body moves is critical to an active lifestyle.You\'ve probably not thought about it a great deal, but we have. We are going to show you something incredible you\'ve probably never seen before that could dramatically change your life.When you walk, run, jump, swing, or throw there are tremendous forces transmitted from your feet, all the way up through your joints, muscles, and ligaments of your body. Depending on how well your body handles these forces, they may result in significant injury or interfere with athletic performance. Moreover, everyone is built differently, making it even more challenging to figure out how to measure or monitor all of these forces. Even your doctors often lack a reliable way of measuring and controlling these forces when treating orthopedic problems. To help resolve these problems, We have added a motion capture IMU chip to the SelnerTx along with a creating an app. We are now capable of both measuring and improving malalignment. This will permit capture of gait data enabling the dynamic classification of \"Gait types\" and the creation of a data base model to asses orthopedic function of the lower extremity. This data will lead to better treatment of mechanically induced injuries as well as improved athletic performance.
