Mary’s Meals provides daily school meals to more than 2.5 million children in 16 countries around the world. As Head of Affiliate Development my role is to support the effort and build the relationships with the international fundraising affiliates. I lead the Affiliate Development team to support the 22 global fundraising affiliates to development and deliver comprehensive strategic, operational and budgetary plans to build, maintain and grow their organisations and enable the long-term financial sustainability and growth of our movement.

ABOUT ALLAN POOT

My name is Allan Poot, an Anglo Dutch National living in Scotland. I’m an experienced board member, senior executive, managing director and business development expert. Strong in relationship building, I\'m also experienced in the development of fundraising organisations in the charitable sector.I am privileged to be working for Mary’s Meals International – a charitable enterprise that feeds two and a half million children every day in a place of learning, in the poorest communities in 16 countries around the world. I\'m also an Enterprise Partner at Strathclyde University, mentor to start-ups and also MBA students at Glasgow University. I\'m a co-founder of the social enterprise involved in urban farming and actively teaching children in local, underprivileged and refugee communities about organic inner city farming. I have managed a number of international corporate expansions into Europe, as Board member, Managing Director and General Manager, and I’ve started several enterprises myself.I have extensive global work and travel experience and a strong network of contacts. I care deeply about people, good ethics and sustainability. I am socially minded and environmentally aware and enjoy new challenges and responsibilities.
