ABOUT ALLAN EDMUNDS
I am interested in the visual, emotional, and social aspects of art. As a fine artist, I have always been fascinated by how people interact and communicate through their own mediums. As an arts administrator, I want to utilize my experience in Fine Art administration as well as my education in Printmaking arts theory and policy to advance the artistic profession within the United States. Additionally, I am interested in building communities and bringing together individuals and organizations who are passionate about the art world or arts education programs for both youth and adults alike. I have over 51 years of experience as an educator ( 9-12 and college), studio artist, arts administrator, and art consultant. My passion is for creating professional opportunities that support and advance the careers of artists of color, the documentation of their art and artistic legacies, and sharing their artworks globally.
