Executing contracts, building relationships, boosting staff performance, and selecting the right technologies and processes – these are the areas of expertise I have honed throughout my 20+ year career in Canada and South Africa. Through careful planning, a dedication to recognizing potential in staff, a robust approach to planning, and ongoing training and guidance, my teams and I have continuously met corporate objectives, earned new contracts, and highlighted our commitment to safety and environmental excellence. My primary goal is always to identify and address problems while listening to and learning from direct reports through an open-door approach to leadership. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS- Earned additional contracts with oil sands operators in Fort McMurray, meeting changing client needs through staff succession planning and training. Eliminated safety incidents by promoting overall safety culture and policy development, maintaining LTIR and TRIR of zero in 2014, 2015, and 2016 year-to-date. Oversaw multi million $ contracts for tailing reduction operations, tailings pond studies and avian protection, achieving regulatory compliance in a number of areas. Designed specialized equipment and processes for 24/7 sampling work at a mining and mineral company, allowing for informed decision making on a $70M tank house expansion project.
