ABOUT ALLAN PORTER

Started my offshore career in 2005 as Roustabout with Diamond Offshore on various Drilling Rigs building my skill base and working my way up to Deck-Coordinator and then progressing to Crane Operator which I was truly enjoyed doing for approx 8 years, this role involved training and being competent in, HLO, Fire Team Leader, Rescue at Height, LOLER Comp Person, First Aider,Safety Rep etc, also the role of Crew Supervisor making sure all operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner which I was highly passionate about at all times.Following my passion for Safety I then was given the opportunity to become a Offshore SDR (HSE Advisor) in 2014 and was in this position gaining knowledge and experience until 2018 when I was promoted to HSEQ Supervisor - UK in the Onshore Operations Team, this also gave me an opportunity to cover temporary in our Australia based Office.May 2021 I was assigned to the role of HSEQ Supervisor (Onshore) based in Senegal West Africa working with two 6th generation Drill ships for the Sangomar campaign, this involved the soft start up of local personnel which had never worked offshore before as well as high involvement with the client building culture and relationships. This was Diamonds most successful campaign to date on performance and safety finishing up on October 2024I was then assigned to the Ocean GreatWhite on December 2024 as Safe Operations Coach while the company was going through an acquisition and am currently in the role.
