FM Global is an insurance and risk management organisation specialising in industrial and commercial property insurance. We believe that the majority of losses are preventable and to this end use our loss prevention engineering arm to identify and quantify risks at our client\'s facilities, advise them on how to prevent or mitigate their hazards and to guide our clients and our underwriters on risk quality. As part of the engineering management team for our London Operation I provide support and oversight of the work of our loss prevention engineers and support, promote, and help implement the company\'s engineering policies and standards. I also give technical guidance to our clients and engineers on new or unusual situations outside of our normal loss prevention standards or where solutions in the standards are not easily applied.
