ABOUT ALLAN LAWRENCE
I decided on a path to an Accounting degree and then a CMA designation because I thought that having an excellent understanding of the financial health of an organization or business unit gave me my best chance at adding value to the company. I don\'t want to be a guy who simply sits in the back and reports on what happened last month or last quarter. I strive to be the guy who uses his financial acumen to help shape the future. Business excites me and I look forward to be part of an organization where I can participate in strategy sessions, set targets, and define, and ultimately measure, success.I have over 20 years of experience working for small and mid-sized organizations. I\'ve lived through periods of rapid growth through acquisitions, as well as geopgraphic expansion across Canada and into the US. I\'ve also lived through periods of economic downturns and have had to use my financial skills to find ways to cut costs and improve efficiencies by doing more with less. I\'ve worked on my own, have had to second people into my projects and have had to manage teams of up to 12 people.I\'ll close by saying that I like to get involved. I like to become part of a team and contribute to the cause. I find it rewarding to know that I am making the company a rewarding place to work at.
