The advantages of living architectural elements, be it a green roof or façade, are generally well known- Reduced temperature and heat island effect - Rainwater absorption - Biodiversity - Improved air quality - Noise reduction Less known are the design issues, that need to be carefully considered, both in existing conditions and new construction. Our Team and I can help with such topics as- Structural requirements, incl. wind and tension loads - Integration of the irrigation system and cistern - Access for maintenance and upkeep There will certainly be more questions that come to mind, as you start with concept development or even later in the documentation or during construction itself.
