ABOUT ALIZA SOVANI
I’m a registered landscape architect in Canada and France with over a decade of experience across environmental design, policy, and heritage in more than 10 countries. I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Architecture (History/Theory) at the Universidad de Sevilla.Alongside my academic work, I serve as Co-Founder and Executive Producer at Earth Tones, an environmentally focused multimedia production company and climate research lab working at the intersection of science, journalism, and design.Trilingual in English, French, and Spanish, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with institutions including the Government of Canada, the City of Toulouse, the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, the National Wildlife Federation, UNESCO and the Institute of Andalusian Historical Heritage. I’ve also served as a guest lecturer and visiting design critic at Harvard GSD, the American University of Beirut, Carleton University, and the University of Toronto’s Daniels Faculty.I hold a Master in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University (advanced placement) and a degree in Architecture from Carleton University, with a semester abroad at İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi.
