Building a flood-risk workflow integration platform for AEC professionals working in flood-prone cities. Developed a Figma-based MVP prototype modeling BIM-integrated flood scenario analysis — visualizing FEMA flood zones, base flood elevations, and future projection scenarios directly within the design workflow.Conducting structured customer discovery through NJIT\'s NSF I-Corps Regional Program. Completed 14+ interviews across architects, structural engineers, urban planners, and real estate developers in the US and Pakistan. Iterating on product hypothesis based on real workflow insights from practicing professionals.Core focus: translating fragmented flood data into actionable design intelligence at the site feasibility stage.

ABOUT ALIZA SYED

In 2025, Pakistan experienced one of the worst climate disasters in recorded history. A third of the country submerged. Millions displaced. Infrastructure gone. And architects the people trained to understand how buildings and cities respond to water, land, and risk had no integrated tools to model, predict, or respond to it at the design stage. That gap is what I\'m building toward closing.I\'m Aliza Syed an architect who thinks like a technologist. I founded UrbanEye Architecture Technologies to bring flood-risk intelligence directly into the design workflow, where it can actually change decisions before concrete gets poured. Through NJIT\'s NSF I-Corps program, I\'ve spent months in structured customer discovery speaking with architects, structural engineers, developers, and urban planners across the US and Pakistan to understand exactly where the workflow breaks down and what a real solution looks like. The core problem: flood data exists, but it lives outside the tools architects use. The result is late-stage redesigns, consultant bottlenecks, and decisions made without the full picture. UrbanEye is building the bridge. My background is in architectural design, BIM, urban systems analysis, and AI-assisted workflows. I trained at the University of Karachi and NJIT, and spent two consecutive summers at SUPERSTRUCTURES Engineers + Architects in New York where I was rehired on performance working on façade investigation, FISP assessments, and technical documentation inside live engineering workflows.I work at the intersection of the built environment, climate risk, and technology. My focus is making complex systems legible and actionable for the architects, developers, and cities that need to make better decisions, faster. If you work in AEC technology, climate resilience, urban analytics, or you\'re building in flood-prone markets I\'d like to connect.
