ABOUT ALISTAIR REDFERN

I love building teams, with high energy, togetherness, empathy and desire to see through obstacles, to focus on what they can achieve, change and how collectively we can grow. I naturally gravitate to people with energy, ideas, a positive outlook, those seeking solutions, willing to change and I see my job as the one to create that platform, a safe space, seek out the best ideas and help everyone collectively improve. I love working to create specific value propositions for that customer, solving customer challenges but what gets me most excited is when we can partner with customers to apply our technology to create opportunities for them, either with their employees, their customers/patients or their internal operations. My current role is to lead the Enterprise Sales Organisation at Zoom, accountable for the relationship and growth of that business in the UK. This has seen me build a brand new team from the ground up, bring new talent into the organisation, create the strategy, challenge and drive change in the way we approach the market and ultimately build the best team we can be, to ensure we have the relationships to be successful and stay focused on our customers and outcomes. I have spent 22 years in Technology Sales, across Enterprise, Commercial and Public Sector across a variety of industry sectors. I have enjoyed various leadership roles in the past 7 years, building connected and high performing sales teams. The past 12 years has been working or leading team in the Cloud Based SaaS market covering a range of solutions from Business Applications (Customer Exp or F&O), Modern Work & Security, Collaboration, Data & AI, Cloud Based Computing to more recently Communication, Cloud Telephony and Cloud Contact Centre.The Successes I am most proud of- Developed and built 3 x sales team from the ground up- Learnt and continue to learn from mistakes and my team- Developing talent within my team to promotion, personal successes and new roles- Track record of leading teams successfully having been new to the industry or solution domain- Achieved leading employee work & health surveys from my team- Led teams to Create, Market and Sell new propositions to market to solve new emerging opportunities- Recognised by my peers and organisation for Circle of Excellence Awards- Track record of growing revenue. Most recently growing the enterprise business by 48% from previous fiscal. At home, I’m Dad to 3 crazy kids, coach the local Junior Rugby Team, the Girls Junior Football Team and I’m very much into my sport, fitness and dog walking!
