ABOUT ALISTAIR M.

I am an e-learning Developer with a Master’s Degree in Interactive Media Design.Following University, I developed a range of important skills working for an industry leading distance learning start-up. This included providing technical support for students, managing the bespoke LMS ande-Learning development. After 2 years I was promoted to the Head of Web Development where I was responsible for the development and maintenance of a new state of the art LMS system. This project involved me managing a team of 5 developers and support staff to scope, prototype, develop and launch the new system to colleagues and students worldwide.After 5 years I took an opportunity to further develop my hands-on creative skills with a move to Standard Life. I learned to use e-learning development tools such as Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline and refined the skills, I had from University in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro and Dreamweaver). I then took this practical experience into my role as an e-learning Developer with Capita. Working exclusively for the client, Morgan Stanley, I supported the global distribution of HR Systemse-learning training and engaged with stakeholders in London.I joined Scottish Water in late 2021. Working as part of the centralised L&D team I manage stakeholder requests for e-learning, develop e-learning courses, support the learning function with LMS updates and proactively identify opportunities to improve digital learning across the business. The creative freedom this role affords has led to me developing additional skills in VR (Unity, Meta Quest and 360° photo and video capture and editing).
