ABOUT ALISTAIR CHAPMAN
Jointly leading CBRE\'s Development Advisory business from our Manchester base. Alistair advises clients on multiple property sectors across the UK and leads CBRE\'s Local Government services.He specialises in complex development situations, where he strategically advises clients on how to maximise value, reduce risk and deliver. Key specialisms include; City and Town Centre Regeneration, Local Authority Property Team and Asset Management Advice, Shopping Centre Acquisition & Development Strategy, Industrial Development, Residential Build to Rent, Student Accommodation and Workspace development. Alistair attended the University of Manchester studying BA (Econ) 2:1, before starting at Drivers Jonas as a Graduate Surveyor in 2006. Whilst working for APC, Alistair attended the University of Reading via distance learning for his Post Graduate Diploma in Real Estate. Alistair worked in a number of different teams at Drivers Jonas and Drivers Jonas Deloitte (2010 onwards), specialising in Development, Local Authority Consultancy and then from 2009 to 2012, worked in the Investment Agency department. He joined CBRE in May 2012 in the Development Team. During his career at CBRE, Alistair has led on the delivery of over £150m of transactions for public sector clients and led on the following key projects:Aurora Industrial Park - Working alongside Stockport Council, Alistair worked on this project from the initial feasiblity in 2014 to the delivery of this sq ft, 70% pre let development in 2018, setting record rents for South Manchester and delivering the council a return of over 8% on costs. Manchester - Following a competitive tender CBRE were appointed to advise the University of Manchester on the redevelopment vision and delivery options for their 30 acre land holdings in Manchester City Centre. Alistair led on this initial advice, culminating in a launch of the proposition to the investor/development market in 2018. Adam White (Joint lead of the development advisory team), has subsequently successfully procured Bruntwood Sci-Tech and Stanhope as the University\'s partner.
