ABOUT ALISSA CRAWFORD

I am a Shareholder at Doeren Mayhew with more than 11 years\' of experience in public accounting. In my role as a Shareholder, I serve as an advisor to my clients, providing value-added feedback and resources to enable them to prosper in their business, while also managing all of their audit and tax needs. I have extensive experience in a variety of industries that spans from private-equity, manufacturing, not-for-profits, distributors, contractors, aerospace/defense, retail and dealerships. In the off-season, my focus is on employee benefit plans and not-for profits. Having served on a local not-for-profit Board, I believe I bring a unique perspective to not-for-profit clients as I understand both the internal and external accounting needs. I also have deep understanding of the intricacies of employee benefit plan audit engagements, having performed over 100+ audits in my tenure at the firm. I am also regularly involved in consulting projects. Specifically, I have experience in net working capital disputes, normalized earnings calculations and projections, the preparation of purchase price allocations, turnaround engagements and forensic cases. I enjoy sitting on the firm\'s Work-Life Committee, where I get to brainstorm and share ideas to continually improve the work-life balance established at Doeren Mayhew for both professional and administrative personnel alike. Outside of work, I also am the Finance Committee chairperson for Fleece & Thank You, an organization that is dedicated to providing connection, comfort, and hope through its innovative programs, services, and materials to children facing illness and their families supporting them.
