About Alison van Diggelen
I\'m a Silicon Valley based journalist, moderator and interviewer. A regular contributor to the BBC World Service, I\'ve also appeared live on the BBC News and contributed interviews and reports to the prime-time BBC show, Panorama, and Click TV (Tech). My work has also appeared on Public Radio International\'s The World, NPR\'s KQED in San Francisco and the Huffington Post. My interview series and podcast, Fresh Dialogues, features lively interviews with business leaders, inspiring women and cultural icons like Elon Musk, Tom Friedman, Martin Sheen, and Meryl Streep. I conduct intimate celebrity interviews and moderate events for Cambridge University, The Commonwealth Club, KQED TV, The Computer History Museum, UC Santa Cruz, and The Churchill Club. As a regular guest on the BBC\'s Business Matters, I provide commentary about Silicon Valley tech and culture. I\'ve also contributed to the BBC\'s Health Check, Science in Action, Tech Tent and In the Balance shows as well as The NBC Tech Show, Press: Here. I\'ve taught classes at he University of Edinburgh and the She\'s Geeky Conference in Silicon Valley. The strategies of successful entrepreneurs fascinate me and I enjoy bringing that real world wisdom to conferences and into the classroom. I hail from Scotland and worked for investment consultants in London and Paris before moving to Silicon Valley in 1994. I have a Master’s from Cambridge University.
