Alison is an Accomplished Senior Leader, Marine Mammal Medic, and Strategic Thinker Committed to Ocean ConservationAlison is a distinguished senior leader with extensive experience across government and private sectors in both Australia and the UK. Known for her servant leadership, strategic vision, and strong work ethic, she delivers impactful outcomes in complex, high-pressure environments. Her portfolio includes leading major programs as a manager, consultant, and director — from Hewlett-Packard’s high-profile data centre migration in Australia to key coordination roles for the opening of Australia’s 41st Parliament.Alison is also a passionate marine conservationist and cetacean activist. As an Advanced Marine Mammal Medic, she has extensive experience rescuing and rehabilitating seals, cetaceans and marine life, volunteering with BDMLR, NEST, and Tynemouth Seal Hospital. She actively contributes to marine wildlife protection through direct response, citizen science, and public engagement.She has volunteered in the Faroe Islands during the grindadráp, documenting the killing of cetaceans both visually and in writing. As part of her advocacy, Alison regularly delivers public talks, school presentations, and guided marine walks to raise awareness about ocean conservation and the threats facing marine life.Alison also serves with the Port of Sunderland, working both in the port office and on the patrol boat, blending her marine awareness with frontline maritime operations.
