About Alison Michel Farmer
I help organizations and communities move through change that matters — from new technology rollouts to sustainability initiatives — by combining practical change management with organizational development. My approach is grounded in three areas of focus, structuring the complex process of change through alignment, engagement, and enablement. Not only do I strive to help leaders and stakeholders create a desirable future state system that yields the right outcomes, I work with project members to ensure enablement of participants for their contributions to the journey. Through engaging storytelling and sensemaking, I help colleagues internalize the purpose of change with the values and mindsets that enable it, so each decision and action they take contributes to the emergence of the future. And I collaborate with teams to build support systems and feedback loops for to enable behavior change, removing obstacles and iterating operations based on qualitative and quantitative data applied through human-centered design. Recently, I led the implementation of Navigate360 across 23 campuses, impacting students and faculty and staff. In five months, we reached 80% student adoption and full colleague adoption by building networks of Change Leads and Champions, translating complex features into human language, and establishing communication pathways that kept everyone aligned and engaged.I focus on driving adoption in both hybrid organizations and local communities, including:Enterprise technology adoption: helping organizations turn new systems into lasting value.Community change management: partnering with nonprofits, municipalities, and sustainability leaders to accelerate climate action and behavior change at the neighborhood level.Outside of work, I ground myself in practices that reflect regeneration and resilience — volunteering, gardening, time in nature, family life, photography, travel, and hands-on creative projects. If you’re looking for someone who can translate complexity into clarity, build trust across diverse stakeholders, and guide adoption that truly takes root, let’s connect.
