Primary data and regulatory manager for the Transplant Institute at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center-Develops and monitors quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) metrics for all departmental clinical programs: Liver Transplant, Living Liver Donation, Kidney/Kidney-Pancreas/Pancreas Transplant, and Living Kidney Donation-Directly supervises data coordinators in the Transplant Institute-Designs and delivers education for all Transplant Institute staff on compliance with new and revised guidelines and regulations-Manages the development and monitors maintenance of transplant policies and protocols-Performs root cause analysis (RCA) of sentinel events that occur within the Transplant Institute-Centralizes and improves compliance by serving as liaison with all donation and transplant-related regulatory agencies, including CMS, UNOS, JCAHO, and others-Provides documentation and assistance for all regulatory audits-Collaborates with surgeons, physicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, dietitians, and administrators on an active log of quality/performance improvement initiatives.
