ABOUT ALISON MATTHEWS
I am a legally trained international development professional with over 12 years of experience leading anti-corruption initiatives, strategic policy advocacy and complex multi-stakeholder programs including in Afghanistan. My expertise spans across high-impact roles within Transparency International and Australia\'s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in addition to INGOs, academia and the private sector. My multidisciplinary background enables me to navigate complex legal and policy environments, fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders to drive systemic change. I am passionate about upholding the rule of law and advancing ethical practices across sectors. Currently serving as Transparency International’s Global Programme Lead for Advocacy and Legal Advice Centres (ALACs), I coordinate the global ALAC network (across 53 countries), provide strategic and operational support and advice to ALACs, and develop knowledge products and tools. I also contribute towards global and regional advocacy in areas where ALACs have unique knowledge and expertise, such as in sexual corruption and public service delivery.
