Passionate about the food industry, I use my extensive sector knowledge & skills in food innovation & development to achieve successful outcomes for my clients through Creative Spark Consulting. I am a creative, consumer-focused food industry professional with experience in fast-paced, constantly evolving food categories, in both manufacturing & retailing. I am an experienced researcher, providing insight and meaningful information for clients in food industry-related areas, allowing them to make informed decisions for commercial and public policy purposes. I am committed to the concept that successful innovation and business decision-making must be based on consumer needs & market context. I achieve this by researching & connecting seemingly disparate trends- from the UK and abroad - overlaid with evolving consumer behaviours and market dynamics to reveal opportunities for incremental sales. My ethos is one of constantly reviewing working methods & outcomes to problem solve and improve cross-functional communication & ways of working. By devising the practical work plans & leading the project management to bring concepts to life, viable, food-safe, legally compliant and commercially profitable products can be created, to generate strong sales & delight customers. My keen interests include what I have termed “Positive Nutrition” – the role that carefully crafted products can play in supporting healthy consumer lifestyles – along with ensuring sustainable, ethical supply chains for raw materials & packaging which protect valuable natural resources. I am committed to developing talent in the industry through coaching, mentoring, and delivering helpful and supportive training to foster personal development for clients.
