ABOUT ALISON GOWMAN
As an Alderman I am engaged across the City of London Corporation. This work includes representing the people working and living in my Ward of Dowgate and representing the City in Greater London and the UK and internationally. I served as one of the two Sheriffs in the City of London from September 2021. I take a lead on sustainability issues, working on the City Corporation\'s climate action strategy as the City\'s lead member. I am a former NED of the Green Finance Institute. I lead the Livery Climate Action Group. My legal expertise in real estate informs my role on various property related boards. Philanthropy is at the heart of the way that I work and serve the City and is a key element of my ambition to make London a global hub for informed funding. In my role as a Consultant at DLA Piper I engage with City issues.
