ABOUT ALISON GLIDEWELL

I really like people. I’m lucky enough to have a job where I get to interact with people all day long. Whether I’m helping a team member solve a problem for a client, negotiating a contract with a Procurement team, or having a coffee with a client I’ve known so long I can tell you their signature dinner party dish and what position their child plays in little league (shout out to the goalies of the world). I’m here for it. I’ve stayed with the same company a long time. That’s pretty rare and not always seen as a positive thing, but Alamy has afforded me endless personal development opportunities, career progression, travel and introduced me to some lifelong friends. The company may be 25 years old, but it has the same ambitious, entrepreneurial drive, that it had when I first joined. I wanted to be a reportage photographer. I quickly figured out I preferred talking to the subjects more than photographing them. Now I represent award winning photographers shooting world changing news events, record breaking sporting moments and authentic creative stock and delivering that to customers in order for them to elevate their stories. I lead a high performing sales team of equally dedicated professionals. That’s pretty fulfilling.
