ABOUT ALISON EATON

I am a retired senior detective (SIO) with a wealth of experience in the safeguarding and investigation of child abuse / exploitation, domestic abuse, rape, sexual assault and modern slavery.I have also led teams in the investigation and management of serious organised crime, including financial investigation and asset recovery. INTERNATIONAL TRAININGI hold a MSc International policing with distinctionI am an experienced and qualified national and international trainer.I hold the Certificate in Education.I have designed and delivered training on leadership, responding to sexual violence, investigative interview skills, major crime investigations, effective communication, crime scene management, child sexual abuse & exploitation, domestic violence and femicide across the globe.Multiple workshops delivered to police and partners in Uganda, Colombia, Peru, Seychelles, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania and Fiji.NATIONAL TRAININGI have designed, developed and co-delivered a number of accredited training courses on “responding to Victims of Sexual violence” to practitioners taking on the Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA) role.Associate Trainer for ‘safelives’ and delivered accredited domestic abuse training to police forces across the UK.SEXUAL ASSAULT REFERRAL CENTRE (SARC) CONSULTANTI played a key role with the British Embassy in the development and implementation of a SARC in Burgas, Bulgaria, the first in Eastern Europe. I continue to support with plans of expansion.I am now additionally involved and advising with similar SARC implementation projects in Romania, Uganda and Peru.INSPECTIONS AND REGULATORY ACTIVITYI am skilled in inspections having worked within Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC). I led a number of the National Child Protection Inspections and produced published reports.As a Director of Quality Ethical Assessments (QEA), specialising in the assessment of domestic abuse interventions, I deliver monthly Domestic Homicide Review (DHR) evaluations for the Home Office.
