Management of all Council On Aging services, programs, activities and staff under the Heath and Human Services Department. Maintains/increases engagement, advocacy and quality of life of the Town of Bedford\'s residents aged 60 and older and their caregivers. Manages and reports budgets, grant applications and seeks further funding opportunities to start up and sustain new programs. Responsible for oversight, operations and reporting on local Bedford transportation (BLT) part funded by the MBTA. Collaborates with the COA Board, Friends of the COA, volunteers, Town departments and community partners while serving the public. Provides assistance and support for family caregivers and professional elder service providers on whom Bedford elders depend. Responsible for raising community awareness of senior issues and promoting an interdependent multigenerational community.
