ABOUT ALISON CHAPPELL

I am a highly experienced senior leader, non-executive Director and Charity Trustee. My career started in marketing with blue-chip fmcg companies. It has developed to include management of major capital/development projects, EDI, general management, change management, operational management and consulting experience. Currently leading the regeneration of closed power station sites for RWE Generation SE across Europe, with additional Senior Leadership Team responsibility for Health and Safety, Charitable Engagement and Diversity and Inclusion. I am a Trustee of the Electrical Industries Charity and Director of the trading arm of the charity. Previous experience includes: leading a Lean Transformation programme for a employee, international energy business, 6 years on the Board of Elexon plc, the Balancing and Settlements company for the UK electricity industry (including 2 years as Chair of Remuneration and Nominations Committee), 4.5 years leading a major UK nuclear new build investment project for RWE in the UK; steering a transformational IT project, and heading up the Diversity and Inclusion function for the RWE Group internationally, reporting directly to the Group CEO. I have worked across a wide range of sectors; managing leading brands with multi-million pound budgets and providing consultancy advice to major companies operating at Board level. I have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and bring a strategic and commercially-focused approach to issues.
