WORK HISTORY
Software Engineer @Great Lakes Fund Solutions, Llc
Chicago, IL, US
Working with a small team of 6 to build and maintain a micro-service based architecture, enterprise Fund Administration system for public and private alternative investment programs. Below are some of my work- Took over as the project lead for optimizing and maintaining a major REST API implemented with Python, Flask and MySQL. Refactored parts of the API and removed expensive and redundant calculations after profiling and detailed analysis. Reduced the 99th percentile latency by over 80% from 450ms to less than 90ms- Implemented an Anti-money Laundering screening system (AML) using Python, MySQL and Redis to scan investor’s identity against United States’ list of entities who are not allowed to invest in the country. Reduced average scan time per investor by over 60% to less than 4 seconds compared to the legacy PHP system- Automated configuration management and provisioning of AWS EC2 servers using Ansible. Produced Playbooks for three micro services (LAMP Stack) and four separate MySQL databases. Reduced new client onboarding time from 12+ hours to less than 3 hours and improved accessibility by producing easy-to-follow documentation that enables any member of the team to set up a new client server.
