ABOUT ALISA WISKIN
I was formerly a tenured Foreign Service Officer with USAID serving in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). I designed and managed human rights-based programming focused on countering human trafficking and gender-based violence (GBV). I was also heavily involved in grants management.I have an extensive background and technical expertise in conflict sensitivity, peacebuilding, and gender mainstreaming. I possess strong research and analytical skills with experience leading research studies and teams in the field, including in Northeast Syria (NES) and Myanmar (Burma). I have proven cultural competencies and excellent interpersonal skills, including effective people management and teambuilding. I also held a top secret security clearance. I am looking for my next opportunity where I can contribute my diplomacy, analytical, grants, and program management skills. I am open to working in the non-profit, private, or public sector. In terms of hobbies, I love scuba diving and the photo in my banner is of the islands of Raja Ampat in Indonesia, one of my favorite diving destinations.
