ABOUT ALISA SCHOENLEBER

Since I can remember, I\'ve been the problem-solver in my family and friend groups. As I grew up, my problem-solving and people skills evolved and developed into a passion for psychology, which well-prepared me for a career in HR. Throughout my career, I\'ve learned that people need to feel safe, heard, and supported to thrive and actively contribute to an organization\'s success. That\'s why I truly enjoy working as a thought partner to business leaders, helping them break down complex problems and develop sustainable, applicable solutions that benefit employees.I\'m in a unique position because I hold a dual role where I\'m a business partner and also a member of the DEI team. I\'ve developed and implemented a DEI governance model and strategy. In my role, I get firsthand experience to attest to whether the practices I\'ve developed with my business partners are practical and lead to employee satisfaction. It’s rewarding to see real impact! I\'ve had a wonderful career and can recall dozens of moments that remind me why this work is important, but I\'ll only share a few: When I was an HR Leader at Integra Life Sciences, I accepted a 3-month development assignment and served as interim Head of HR for a 500-person division. It was a phenomenal learning experience where I sharpened my coaching, mentoring, and delegation skills. In my role at GE HealthCare, I collaborated with the Chief DEI Officer to develop and implement the global DEI strategy. Our strategy has strong ties to business priorities and plays an integral part in developing and enabling stronger and more innovative teams. GE HealthCare has been purposeful in implementing the strategy and it prioritizes tactics that bring it to life globally. Since implementation, 97% of the 50K employees have completed DEI training. While I was Senior Business HR Manager at Abbott, I completed a major overhaul of competency profiles. I conducted job analysis interviews and reviewed assessment results to develop recommendations for improvement. My career presents opportunities to be a creative problem solver, and that\'s when I\'m in my zone of genius. I\'m excited to continue learning and growing. I\'m always open to connecting with other HR professionals and sharing best practices. Send me a connection request, and let\'s chat!
