Title: Ultrasonic Metamaterials DesignAs part of my PhD journey at the Metasonics Lab, University of Cincinnati, we focus on developing ultrasonic metamaterials to enable precise control of acoustic waves for applications in biomedical imaging, therapeutic ultrasound, and non-destructive testing. Using FDM 3D printing techniques, we design metamaterials capable of operating at frequencies MHz regime. Our work integrates advanced numerical modeling and experimental validation to examine how unit cell geometry and 3D-printing parameters influence key properties like attenuation and phase velocity. Looking ahead, we are working toward fabricating and fully characterizing the ultimate design of these metamaterials, aiming to create scalable, cost-effective solutions for next-generation acoustic devices.
