Responsibilities- • Maximum loss analysis & calculations. • Examine buildings, mechanical and industrial plants, machinery and equipment to look for faults. • Advising Clients on compliance issues per NFPA and other international standards such as BS, OSHA Fire Protection Standards. • Compile comprehensive market risk survey reports and advise the insured by compiling risk control recommendations to reduce existing or future hazards pertaining to CATNAT, fire, flood and structural exposures. • Flood Risk/ Consequence Assessments. • Complete risk assessments of prospective clients to provide underwriters with an assessment of the level of risk and protection. • Produce loss estimates and compile desk top reports to assist underwriters in best use of underwriting capacity. • Deliver internal & external presentations to underwriters, clients & brokers on Fire/Flood/CAT loss prevention and business interruption on various occupancies. • Assist claims by providing technical advice on open claims. • Comprehensive training for new employees. Key achievements- • Good knowledge of underwriting processes and ability to translate knowledge and experience into actions to effectively improve risk quality. • Compiled a comprehensive High Rise Buildings project Loss Control Guideline. • Managed the Dubai CAR energy book for the first 5 years at AIG. • Training of new starts in Europe and MENA. • Training brokers and underwriters on Combustible Faced Construction. • Loss estimation study of Hydro Power Plant flood damage in Tajikistan. • Loss estimation study High Rise Building fire damage in Kazakhstan. • Generating CAER Risk Engineering Fee income annually.
