Glen Dimplex is a privately owned international organisation (founded in 1973), and is the world’s largest manufacturer of electrical heating appliances. Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation (GDHV), a key division within the organisation, delivers innovative, energy-efficient space and water heating, ventilation and heat recovery solutions for domestic, commercial and industrial markets around the globe. With an impressive brand portfolio at our disposal (including Dimplex; Redring; Valor; Xpelair; Creda; Nobo; Faber; Campa and Ability), and ambitious plans to grow organically and by acquisition, this is an exciting time to join the organisation. In my current role as HR Advisor I spend time across the 3 sites of GDHV in Newry, Portadown and Dunleer where I am responsible for advising managers on general people issues across many aspects of the employee life-cycle as well as working on new HR projects and initiatives for the division. As the pace of work is fast, and change is constant, this makes my work interesting and challenging in equal measure. In my role I am committed to being professional, keeping up to date and continuously seeking ways to improve.
