About Alindomar Lacerda Silva

I have a geography degree by the Federal University of São Carlos, Brazil, with an interchange period at Indiana University Bloomington, USA and a masters degree in remote sensing by the National Institute for Space Research. My interests lie within the environmental issues domain, specially climatology. I have taught in public schools for three years and I have worked with urban planning for another three. Nowadays I am working with land use and land cover change monitoring across Brazil. Throughout my career, I have authored/co-authored four research papers and one book chapter. I want to become a Geography Professor and researcher at a higher education institution and I strongly believe in the power of education to change lives.
