Supervise around-the-clock structures and activities of adult offenders at the Cook County Department of Corrections living units, Cermak Health Services and outlying hospital facilities. Full accountability for caseload management (300+ detainees) to promote mental health and positive behavior/conduct, along with supervision, training and guidance to new and experienced correctional workers.* Manage a caseload of 300+ detainees with depression, anxiety and other acute conditions (including dual diagnoses) to assist in facilitating and developing positive living skills and addressing/resolving behavioral issues.* Counsel detainees regarding conduct, and interacting with others; responsible for crisis intervention.* Administer assessments and provide individual and group services, advocacy and linkage to address issues of substance abuse, rehabilitation, education and post-discharge goals.* Partner with security, medical, education, legal and other departments, along with allied partners, to achieve collaborative goals for client health, education, rehabilitation and self-efficacy.* Monitor residents for changes in behavior, activity and language; develop safety plans, provide crisis interventions and dispute mediation, and respond to grievances/incidents.* Maintain HIPAA-compliant and highly regulated records, analyze data and trends, and communicate/exchange vital case information among judges, attorneys and other authorized parties.* Delegate tasks, provide staff coaching and guidance, mentor future leaders, provide new hire orientations and training in conflict resolution, time management, other topics.* Attend leadership seminars to develop ongoing knowledge of management methods/strategies.* Facilitate victim services: information resources, education, emotional support, safety, etc.* Assess post use-of-force mental health evaluations and respond to inmate requests.* Complete prison rape examination assessment) for mental health evaluation.
