ABOUT ALINA VERDIYAN

Alina Verdiyan is an entrepreneur and accomplished professional in the finance and banking industry. More than twenty years in the finance industry, attention to detail and a strong work ethic has earned Alina a solid reputation within her field.An early childhood that included fleeing oppression in Azerbaijan to Armenia followed by refugee status in Russia has helped Alina understand the meaning of family, hard work and perseverance. As a first-generation immigrant from Armenia, Alina overcame language and cultural challenges in her early American experience which have shaped her resilient character and unwavering determination. Alina spent 2 years at Washtenaw Community College learning English as her third language and taking additional classes before transferring to Eastern Michigan University to get a degree in Computer Information Systems. Twenty years later, after a successful career in banking, Alina was accepted into and completed the University of Michigan Ross School of Business Executive MBA degree program.Throughout her career, Alina has developed strong skills in financial analysis, risk management, and start up consulting. She has worked within diverse industries such as banking, manufacturing, IT, retail food, B2B and customer service organizations helping them navigate the complexities of the financial landscape and operational excellence.Beyond her professional pursuits, actively engages in community involvement and supports charitable causes that positively impact people\'s lives. Alina is an avid golfer and tennis player and is a devoted dog owner.Currently Alina serves as a CFO for Golden Limousine International, advisor to several start-up companies, and runs a micro-VC company.
