About Alik Pramanick

I am a deep-learning researcher specializing in underwater image processing. My core expertise lies in image enhancement, super-resolution, and semantic segmentation. My work focuses on designing models based on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), transformers, and diffusion techniques to address the unique challenges posed by underwater environments, such as low visibility, color distortion, and poor contrast.I actively investigate unsupervised and self-supervised methods for understanding scenes in marine imagery. Currently, my research incorporates advanced architectures like Vision Transformers (ViTs), DINO, and multi-modal learning to achieve robust feature representation and semantic interpretation.I am passionate about advancing computer vision to enhance underwater exploration and improve the effectiveness, accuracy, and scalability of marine data analysis.
